This is actually authentic Mexican food! A MUST TRY for anyone looking for a delicious Mexican dish. I've never had a dish here that is not flavorful, everything has its own savory taste along with the AWESOME salsas they make from scratch!! I could drink their salsa. Aside from tacos, they also have traditional carne asada, Chiles rellenos, chicken in mole, all absolutely delicious!!The best I've had in all of Westland. I've tried many other places but this little hiddem takes the cake. Great dishes and excellent customer service. 10/10 recommend

We came here for the first time tonight. The fried tacos were really good done the way I like them! My husband got enchiladas and the sauce over them wasn't very good. It tasted like plain tomato sauce. The rice was just okay and same with the refried beans. The salsa and chips are really good. The best salsa I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant. I will definitely come back for the tacos! It's nice to have corn tortillas deep fried and not the store bought tortillas. I forgot to take pictures of our food. We will try this place again to try other items out on the menu.

Went to Carlos today to celebrate Taco Day. I have been coming here for about 8 yrs. it is a small family owned restaurant. The food is great
& the customer service is excellent. I had a combination plate One hardshell taco, one chicken enchilada & a burrito. -

This place makes me think of a mexican coney island. It's basically a greasy spoon that doesn't serve breakfast, hotdogs, or gyros. Instead, they swapped those out for fajitas, enchiladas, and burritos.
It's in a strip mall and is just as good, if not better, when eaten as take-out. That seems like it would have to be the definition of a Mexican coney island.
There are a few other places that set the bar a bit high for me to put this place up there with them, but they are definitely worth trying out. I'd have given them three and a half stars if I could have. -

My entree was pretty good. The taco was really yummy. Next time I'm hungry for "real" tacos I will be heading to Carlos! I actually am going to try some new ( to me) stuff when I go back too like the Mole "Dona Rosy" and the Huarache.
